We process some of the most advanced packaging materials available in the industry to meet specific product, budget, sterilisation, shelf-life and customer requirements.
All pouches and sachets are produced in an ISO 14644 Class 8 cleanroom. We supply over 40 million pouches per annum, globally.
We have four dedicated pouch lines, designed, built, commissioned, and validated by us. They enable quick and easy seal tool and print changes, whilst the unique in-line printing technique that we adopt means we can offer a competitive edge on all runs – no matter how large or small.
Our design team are on hand to either receive and utilise customer-generated layouts or to produce computer aided artwork. All our print originations are carried out in-house, which gives us complete control of the accuracy and the speed at which we can process jobs. Our screen-printing / UV curing technology is unique to the industry. This process provides a depth of colour and definition, which we believe cannot be matched by any other printing method.
Riverside’s specialist tooling and CAD resource give us control and allows us to accommodate customer’s individual requirements. We make all our own sealing platens and have over 500 tools in existence. This means we can cater for virtually any size of pack or seal configuration.
Our processes are such that virtually any heat-sealable material can be utilised to produce a pouch or sachet to comply with a desired specification. We use only medical grade packaging materials, which comply with the required parts of ISO 11607.
Pouches from every production batch are seal strength tested in accordance with the standard ASTM F88/F88M - **. Routine seal integrity die testing is carried out to ASTM 1929 - **.
Additionally, we offer validation services to prove repeatability, pouch integrity, shelf life and transit durability. For further details please visit our Validations page.
